As a potential property buyer, it is crucial to know how much living space you can get for 350,000 euros in major German cities. A recent study has shown that the amount of living space you can get for this budget has fallen in all the cities analyzed compared to 2020.
In times when spacious condominiums are hard to find and affordable to buy in popular metropolitan areas, it is important to be informed about all the information. For example, Berlin, known for its versatile housing variety, has seen a reduction from 81 m2 to 65 m2. Similar trends can be seen in other cities such as Hamburg and Cologne. Munich, Germany's most expensive city, currently only offers 39 m2 for 350,000 euros, compared to 42 m2 four years ago.
One particularly interesting detail of the study is the situation in Leipzig, where living space with the aforementioned budget has fallen by a whole 52 m2 compared to 2020. Comparable trends can also be seen in cities such as Dresden, Dortmund, Essen and Duisburg.
